Do you love to swim and want to be a part of a team? Water polo is the perfect sport for you! The SWP Introductory program is a great option for both new players as well as those looking to develop their skills. Our Intro Program focuses on developing swim skills and water polo fundamentals. We offer two separate Intro Programs which each operate our of a different Surry location: Guildford Rec Centre and Surrey Sport & Leisure Centre. Both Intro Programs offer two practices a week consisting of 15-30 minutes of drylands followed by a one hour water practice.
Each month our Intro athletes compete in 13U and/or 11U game nights through the Surrey Water Polo League (SWPL). These events give athletes the opportunity to compete against other local teams from Vancouver, Coquitlam, Fraser Valley, Delta and more! These games take place monthly on Sunday evenings at the Guildford Recreation Centre and are designed to be a fun, positive and development-focused experience. In addition to the SWPL, our Intro athletes may have the opportunity to attend local tournaments at the 13U and 11U divisions throughout the season.
